A horse’s true ability, distilled to a glance. The Star Ranking places every horse on a six-star scale set against the entire population of flat racehorses — not an even spread, but a curve: the great majority sit in the middle bands, fewer reach the upper tiers, and six-star sits apart from the rest entirely, a mark reserved for the rarest few. It’s the fast read for the sales ring or the yard — a shared shorthand to talk about potential at a glance, without disclosing the precise Score unless you choose to.
